The Office for the Vice Rector for International Relations and the UAB Employment Service selected student Vanessa Caiza as the University's UNICAT Ambassador for the 2023/24 academic year. Caiza is enrolled in the bachelor's degree in International Relations and has also completed a complementary course in Culture for Peace and Conflict Resolution, as well as having practical experience in youth associationism.

As new ambassador, she will act as a reference point and guide for students and alumni interested in pursuing a professional career in one of the EU's institutions by sharing all available professional positions and internships. In this way, the UAB continues to participate in the Ambaixadors/es UNICAT project, which provides support to the figure of EU Careers Ambassador through a network of student ambassadors from different Catalan universities.

The Ambaixadors/es UNICAT project is managed by the Government Delegation to the EU, the Inter-university Council of Catalonia and participating Catalan universities, with the support of the Catalan Secretary for Research and Universities.
