The Observatory for Equality, in collaboration with the Catalan Institute for Women (ICD), launches a prize for the best bachelor's degree final projects at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona that deal with gender issues.

This initiative stems from the agreement signed between the ICD and the UAB Faculty of Law to award a prize for the best project in each of the degree programmes taught by the Faculty in academic year 2014-2015. These prizes will be awarded on 21 October, the winners having been chosen by a panel of specialists appointed by the Faculty.

The panel members, M. Teresa Freixes, José Antonio Fernández, M. Jesús Espuny and Esther Zapater, met on 28 July at the offices of the Observatory for Equality to choose the three winning projects in this first edition of the prizes.

The prize-giving ceremony will take place on Wednesday 21 October at noon, in the Courtroom (Sala de Vistes) of the Faculty of Law.
