The first post of the thread or carousel must carry the hashtag #HiloTesis and, whenever possible, also cite or tag an image with @CrueUniversidad, @RedDivulga, @filarramendi and the account from the participating university or, if necessary, its scientific communication unit.

Once the thread or carousel is published, the participant will have to sign up and attach the link by filling out this form.

A new aspect of this year's competition is that participants can use their publications on X (Twitter), Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon (with a maximum of 20 posts), or Instagram's carousel (maximum 10 images). If different social media channels are used, the participant must indicate in the form which channels is the one being used for the competition.

The thread or carousel can be posted in any of the co-official languages of Spain, but the participating university will have to provide a translated version into Spanish if the post is chosen to pass on to the national phase.

Once all entries are received, the organisation will send them to the contact person at each university , where in a period of 7 days, a finalist must be chosen for the #HiloTesis competition and announced to the organisation so that it can be approved by the national jury proposed by RedDivulga. This decision is expected to be reached in the first 15 days of July 2024.

The goal of the competition, organised by Crue Universidades Españolas, is to promote the development of scientific communication and dissemination skils among PhD students and recent graduates. In the past edition of #HiloTesis, a total of 384 PhD theses from the 47 Cure universities were presented.
